We do not ask for your Aadhaar number or PAN, and please do not send them to us. We do not collect your precise location on this website. We do not run advertising or tracking cookies. We use one essential cookie that keeps drivers and admins logged in.
3. Consent
We use your data only after you agree to this policy, by ticking the consent box on our forms. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing info@shefleet.in. Withdrawal does not affect what we did before, but we will stop using your data and delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it. If you are a driver, withdrawing means we can no longer process your application.
4. Who sees your data
- Our authorised team members, only as needed to do their work.
- Cloud service providers that host our website and database for us (currently Vercel and Supabase) under their data-processing terms. They may store data on servers outside India.
- Government authorities, courts or police, if the law requires it or to protect someone's safety.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it for advertising.
5. How long we keep it
- Early-access details: until we launch in your city and for up to 12 months after, or until you ask us to delete them.
- Driver and partner applications: for as long as the application is active, and up to 12 months after rejection or withdrawal.
- If the law requires longer retention, we keep the data for that period and then delete it.
6. Security
Passwords are stored as one-way hashes. Documents are kept in a private storage area and are viewable only by authorised admins, and are accessed only when needed to review an application. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data, we will inform you and the authorities as the law requires.
7. Children
This website is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. Parents and guardians may join the early-access list on behalf of a child by giving us their own details only. Before any ride service for children starts, we will ask for verifiable guardian consent and will not track or profile children beyond what is needed for their safety on a ride.
8. Your rights
You may ask us to show you the data we hold, correct or complete it, delete it, withdraw consent, or resolve a grievance. You may also nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or cannot act. Email info@shefleet.in with the subject "Privacy request" and your registered phone number. We will reply within 7 days and resolve requests within 30 days.
9. Grievances
Write to our Grievance Officer at info@shefleet.in. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India once it is operating.
10. Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters to you, we will post it here with a new date and, where the law requires, ask for your consent again.
